The word “sustainable” gets thrown around a lot these days. It’s become a buzzword that many brands use to sound good, without actually doing good.
At RooDoo, we want you to know exactly what’s behind our claims — no greenwashing, no mystery, just the truth, transparency, and care for our world.
Our certifications are as follows;
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is recognised as the gold standard for organic cotton worldwide. It guarantees that the cotton in all our garments is:
Cultivated organically (no GMO seeds or harmful chemicals)
Produced under fair working conditions
Tracked with full transparency, from seed to finished fabric.
Adhering to strict environmental and social guidelines.
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) doesn’t just focus on how cotton is grown — it also covers how people are treated throughout the supply chain. To earn certification, every step — from the farm to the factory — must meet strict social criteria based on key International Labour Organisation (ILO) principles, including:
✅ No child labour
✅ Safe and hygienic working conditions
✅ Fair wages and working hours
✅ Freedom of association and collective bargaining
✅ No discrimination or forced labour
Every RooDoo product is PETA-Approved, meaning we’re 100% vegan and cruelty-free.
No animal testing. No animal materials.
This certification means our fabrics are tested for harmful substances and are safe for you and the environment — going beyond legal requirements to keep toxins out of the process (and off your skin). This certification ensures compliance with EU REACH regulations and restricts certain substances even if they are not yet prohibited by law.
You can wear RooDoo knowing it’s clean from thread to print.
The OCS tracks and verifies the amount of organic material in our garments — ensuring the “organic” label actually means something.
It monitors the journey of the organic material from its origin to the final product.
We want to be as clean and green as possible in the process of growing RooDoo.
Profiting from pumping poisons into our planet is not who we are and not something we will do.
We will also NEVER have polyester in our garments.
Thank you for reading.
