NEW FROM ROODOO
A hand-drawn artwork supporting Sumatran tiger conservation.
25% OF GROSS PROFITS TO Forum HarimauKita
If RooDoo is going to support animals, we might as well go for those that are the most endangered. None more beautilful than the Sumatra Tiger, a beacon of beauty amongst the rugged forest.
Its numbers are estimated to be between 400 and 600 individuals. Poaching has been rife, and the small tropical island of Sumatra has chopped down a lot of its rainforest, there is little space left for this elusive creature. The Tiger is one of the most majestic animals around, and it’s saddening that they’re in the situation they’re in. The original Sumatra’s Most Wanted design was created in 2022, but we thought it needed an upgrade.
More to follow on how we intend to help these creatures.
A story in art and conservation
The Sumatran tiger is a distinct tiger subspecies found only on the Indonesian island of Sumatra and is the smallest Tiger in the world,
Poaching remains one of the biggest threats facing the Sumatran Tiger. Although these incredible animals are protected by law, illegal hunting continues, fuelled by demand for tiger parts on the black market.
Tigers are killed for their skin, bones and other body parts.
Protecting the Sumatran Tiger means tackling the illegal wildlife trade, supporting the people working on the ground and making sure these animals have a future in the wild.
